Elizabeth Ann Kelly is an
eighth-grade honor student at Fairview Veteran’s Memorial
Middle School in Chicopee, MA, where she resides with her parents, F.
X. and Sy Kelly, and her older brother Robert. She has been involved in more than 100 performances as a singer, dancer, actor and musician. She appeared most recently as Jenny in the short film, ‘Mama Don’t Cry’, and previously as Sophia in the full-length feature film, ‘Indiscretion’, which was accepted for the Hartford International Film Festival. Her stage performances include roles in South Pacific with the Black Cat Theater, and Annie, West Side Story, and Beauty and the Beast with her middle school drama club. She was also selected to participate with Camp Broadway in ‘Give Me A Drum’, the opening number for the 2006 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
She has studied tap, ballet, acrobatic, and jazz dancing since age three, and has won numerous competition awards. In addition, she has participated in area beauty pageants, where she was awarded several trophies, including “Most Photogenic”, “Prettiest Eyes” and “Best Attire.” She has also received frequent accolades for her impressive 60” hair length. Elizabeth is a graduate of both the Barbizon School in Boston, where she studied modeling, and the John Casablancas Agency in Berlin, Connecticut, where she studied modeling and acting.
An accomplished musician, thirteen-year-old Elizabeth plays eight instruments. She began with the violin at age four, and later added the piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, cello, viola and the double bass. She presently performs as a violist with both the Springfield, Massachusetts Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the Holyoke, Massachusetts Civic Symphony Orchestra. She also plays bass with the New England Double Bass Society in Northampton, MA. In addition, she was selected to perform as a first violinist with the 2006 Massachusetts Music Educator’s Association Western District Junior Orchestra, while serving simultaneously as principal cellist with the Youth Orchestra..
She has given numerous solo, chamber, and group performances at recitals, area schools, shopping malls, nursing homes, private parties, fundraising events, churches, concert halls and weddings. In honor of these achievements, she has been recognized by academic and legislative officials at the municipal and state levels within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
‘Indiscretion’ director Ivan Velez has been consistently impressed with Elizabeth’s ability to maintain a strong screen presence and take direction. He has often commented that “ the camera loves her.”
She counts clay sculpting, skiing, chess, movies, music, reading, writing, bicycling, badminton, and computer gaming among her leisure activities. She recently spent two weeks in New York studying stage and television acting at Camp Broadway and the New York Film Academy. She is presently enrolled in the acting program at the Drama Studio in Springfield, Massachusetts. Elizabeth’s career ambition is two-fold: to attain an acting role in the entertainment industry, and to work as a print model.
